About Geoff & Liza

Owners Geoff & Liza We are officially now Mr. and Mrs. Faerber, married Fall 2005. Both have a passion for the outdoors, and love recreating in the Greater Yellowstone Area: biking, hiking, kayaking, running, and all kinds of skiing. The Flying Pig Adventure Co. allows them to share their outdoor passion with visitors from all over the world.

When not in the height of the summer season, their days are simple but full with time outside recreating, maintaining their business, and enjoying the Gardiner Community. They both feel privileged to live at Yellowstone's Borders. They have traveled the world but always smile that Gardiner is their home.

Flying Pig - The Company...

With their business, they want to share the beauty and magic the area offers. Flying Pig believes small group sizes are important for quality of service and experience. They encourage people to try new things. They believe in customer service; they want to be known for doing a good job and for quality.

Their long range goal is to offer guests a package of activities broad enough to appeal to everyone's interest and ability. Of course, they love exposing guest to all the hidden treasures of the Yellowstone they know and love.

Each year 10% of our profits are donated to youth charities. They founded an Adventure Camp as a way to give back to the community. Adventure Camp is a non-profit after-school program for 4th,5th, and 6th graders in the Mammoth and Gardiner School Districts.

The camp teaches team building skills and offers local students a chance to discover local outdoor education and recreation, and the value of community service.

The Adventures of Geoff & Liza

As you might have guessed, both Geoff & Liza love to travel - experiencing new countries and cultures. It is exciting and challenging. They often encourage people to step out of their comfort zones. Unfamiliar situations bring so much growth and sharing meaningful time with people in other cultures breaks down barriers. We are all human.

Some of their most rewarding adventures include:

  • 4 month bike trip in Eastern Europe from Italy to Turkey
  • 1 month in Thailand - 2 weeks of sea kayaking a small remote island chain
  • 1 month bike trip crossing the Andes 4 times between Chile and Argentina
  • 1 month Italy, Tunisia, Croatia - 2 weeks biking the coast of Croatia
  • Western United States - Kayaking, hiking, and camping
  • Alaska - Skiing on the Arctic Ocean

Join Geoff & Liza in Gardiner, MT for outdoor adventure, amazing scenery and of course, all the wonders Yellowstone National Park has to offer.

Yellowstone's Upper Falls drops 109 feet and is easily accessible via a 1/8 mile hike from the road. Many visitors miss this beautiful display because it is so close to its more famous sister, Lower Falls.
