When planning your stay with us, you’ll choose from one of our various levels of cozy cabin accommodations that will suit your family and your budget. Your cabin will be your home base for the full 7 days and provide you with a comfortable place to relax after a day of adventure. Cabin prices vary and are rented as a whole – not per person – on a nightly basis. Once you’re here, you’ll enjoy 3 days of thrilling activities including Yellowstone white water rafting where you’ll battle rapids on one of the most scenic rivers in America, horseback riding by Yellowstone Park during which you’ll experience the vastness of nature on a trusty steed, a hiking tour to see the majestic sights of Yellowstone on foot, and an authentic Cowboy Cookout to satisfy your craving for fire-cooked food in the wilderness. You’ll also have three days to explore on your own and discover the wonders of Yellowstone as part of our highly-rated Yellowstone vacation tours.

Trip Details
DAY 1
DAILY ACTIVITIES PENDING AVAILABILITY, BOOK EARLY!
Cabin check-in, 4pm – 8pm.
Spend the day seeing some of the sites in Yellowstone, go for a hike, soak in a hot spring, see Old Faithful blow its top, do your grocery shopping for the week. Check in, relax, and enjoy getting settled in your cabin.
Close the evening with a barbeque on the deck and watch the sunset on Electric Peak (11,000ft).
DAY 2
A FULL DAY OF WHITEWATER RAFTING ON THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER
Your trip will depart just below the Flying Pig Store at 9:30 am. Raft class 1-4 rapids and enjoy a riverside picnic lunch on your 18 mile guided voyage downstream.
Finish up your adventure by 3pm. Spend the afternoon and evening at your own pace. Maybe try throwing a line in the water below the house and catch rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, brown trout, or mountain whitefish. Be sure to pick up a Montana fishing license in our store.
DAY 3
TOUR YELLOWSTONE PARK
Choose your own adventure! That’s the beauty of our private tours. Whether you are interested in wildlife, geology, geysers, or hiking, we have an option for you! Our tours are tailored to your group’s activity level, and all tours include a walk or hike (casual stroll or destination hiking). You’ll be with a expert naturalist who will help to make the most of your visit. Our guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and offer great advice for the rest of your trip as well. Private tours include, an expert guide, in-park transportation and high powered spotting scopes. Lunch is included!
After your tour, consider stopping for dinner at Roosevelt Lodge and sit on the same porch sipping beverages as President Teddy Roosevelt did 100 years ago!
DAY 4
HALF DAY HORSEBACK RIDE
Depart at 3pm. You are in for a treat as you cowboy-up at our high mountain ranch. The views are spectacular, the cowboys are real, and the groups are small. Make sure you bring your camera.
After your ride, we recommend a nice long soak in the local Hot Spring (3 miles away) called the Boiling River – so unique!
Looking for a more refined experience? Drive about 30 miles to Historic Chico Hot Springs and soak in their pool. (Yes, cocktails are allowed in the pool.) It is very family friendly with two dining options: the poolside grill or the 4 star, nationally acclaimed but casual dining room. Make reservations for the dining room ahead of time!
COWBOY COOKOUT – IN THE EVENING FOLLOWING YOUR RIDE
After you have enjoyed your day riding, come enjoy a relaxing one hour evening Horseback Ride and Cowboy Style Steak Dinner with our ranch partners! From 7500 ft the views are incredible, not a better place to enjoy a Montana Sunset.
This mouth watering option is the perfect family dinner activity. As you head back to the ranch, the welcoming smells of dinner will lure you home. Sue is one of the best cooks around, just ask the bunkhouse full of cowboys!
Dinner is served at 7pm.
DAY 5
FREE DAY! GO AND CHOOSE YOUR OWN FUN TODAY!
After all the awesome activities you have experienced all week, we think you might enjoy a day to relax and chart your own course. Whether it’s lounging around with a book in your hand or heading into Yellowstone Park to see some new sites or revisit old favorites, you rely on your whim to decide!
DAY 6
FLY FISHING YELLOWSTONE
Fly fishing in the Yellowstone region is an iconic pastime for many anglers! The great thing with enjoying a day with our fishing guide is that it doesn’t matter if you’ve never fly fished before or if you are a die-hard fly fisherman. Our guides can take you to just the right place and make your experience fun and memorable.
You will meet your guide either at 8am if you’ve chosen a morning option or 1pm if you prefer an afternoon option. Your guide will gear you up and make sure you have everything you need to fish. Then you get to head out for 3 to 4 hours of time with you guide on the waters of Yellowstone. The guides are happy to start your experience with some instruction and practice so that you feel ready to tackle the trout. Fly fishing in such a scenic place is truly a one-of-a-kind experience!
Enjoy your evening by grilling at your cabin or heading to dinner at a local restaurant. Don’t forget to keep your eyes on the sky so that you can enjoy the sun setting over the mountains nearby!
DAY 7
CHECK-OUT TIME IS 10AM.
