Fishing the famous waters of Yellowstone Park is a must for any fisherman, but riding on horseback to seldom-fished stretches of water in the Park’s interior is what makes our trips so special. In fact, there are thousands of miles of fishable water in Yellowstone Park and we’d love to explore it with you on horseback. The remote stretches of the Yellowstone and Lamar rivers and the third meadow of Slough Creek are some of our favorite destinations. Come on a ride to fish with us and they will become your favorites too!
A wonderful option for first-time anglers and families looking for adventure is to travel on horseback to some little-known wilderness lakes in the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. Learn to catch trout on a dry fly under the watchful eye of your fishing guide while enjoying the spectacular scenery that surrounds you. Fly Fishing for trout on a lake is a fun, easy way to learn the sport. Combine that with an exhilarating horseback ride there and back, and this will be an unforgettable day. Fawn Lake and Knox Lake are two gems high in the Absaroka Mountains, and there are LOTS of fish! This trip is great for novice fishermen, and kids. Available with or without a fishing guide (don’t worry, there’s always a wrangler to be your horse guide).

HORSEBACK RIDE TO FISH THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER

This a great trip for people with any level of fishing and riding experience. Beginner or expert, you will really enjoy this! Fishing the Yellowstone River is a must for any angler, but riding on horseback to seldom-fished stretches of the river in the Yellowstone Park’s interior is what sets this trip apart. There is a long stretch of the Yellowstone River that is almost inaccessible to hikers or fishermen, but this trip takes you there! The Black Canyon, Knowles Falls, and the confluence with Bear Creek are all amazing fishing spots on the Yellowstone. Include a fishing guide or go unguided with your wrangler.

Fly fishing in Yellowstone Park is world famous, and the 3rd Meadow at Slough Creek is the most famous of all. It is legendary… and we can take you there on horseback! This trip is great for seasoned fishermen, but is also a beautiful ride and a great way to spend the day. We can also take you on horseback to fish the lesser known, lesser fished, but just as beautiful Hellroaring Creek or Cache Creek. Choose a guided trip to include an expert fishing guide or go solo with just your wrangler!

This trip is great for novice fishermen, and youngsters. Fly Fishing for trout on a lake is a fun, easy way to learn the sport. Combine that with the horseback ride there and back, and this will be an unforgettable day. Fawn Lake and Knox Lake are two gems high in the Absaroka Mountains, and there are plenty of fish! Available with or without a fishing guide. A wrangler is always provided for the horseback ride.
